Masks are optional at all lessons. Please let me know if you or your child would be more comfortable with me wearing a mask during our lesson, and I will be happy to put one on.
All lessons will end 2-3 minutes early to give me time to fully sanitize the room between students.
I love to teach music to people of all ages and skill levels! My number-one goal is to make sure my students learn to love music by keeping lessons light-hearted and fun. We'll learn all your favourite songs in the way that suits you best! Here you can find out more about what I have to offer.

Studio Schedule 2024-2025
School Year, or School Term: This refers to the period of time from September 9th, 2024 through May 30th, 2025. Holidays will match those of the TDSB - ie, there will be no lessons during Christmas break, March break, etc. There will be one additional day off on Oct 31st for Halloween. There will be lessons on PA/PD days. In order to stay consistent, other school board schedules cannot be taken into consideration.
The School Year or School Term is divided into two "semesters". The fall/winter semester runs from September 9th 2024 until December 20th 2024, and the winter/spring semester runs from January 6th 2025 until May 30th 2025.
Summer Term: This refers to the time between June 9th 2025 and August 25th 2025. Lessons are booked separately during this period, and are dependent on holidays, vacations, and my performing schedule.
Cancellation Policy
By booking a regular lesson time, that time is set aside each week for you or your child - I cannot then use that time for any other work that would bring in revenue. One-off lessons are very rare, and as such it is impossible to find a new student to fill the spot left by a single cancelled lesson. Cancellations have a huge impact on my income; as such, I need to have a strict cancellation policy to keep the studio up and running. Thank you for understanding.
Students paying monthly may cancel one lesson per semester with 24 hours notice, free of charge. The free cancellation will be credited on the next invoice. Biweekly students receive one free cancellation with 24 hrs notice per school year. Additional cancellations - as well as any lesson cancelled with less than 24hrs notice and no-shows - must be paid in full.
Students paying per semester receive a discount equal to two free lessons; as such, there are no refunds for cancellations. Biweekly students paying per semester receive a discount equal to one free lesson per semester; there are still no refunds for cancellations.
In the case of a cancelled lesson a makeup lesson may be provided. Makeup lessons will consist of videos and/or notes in google drive. Makeup lessons will not be provided if the lesson was cancelled free of charge, if the student was a no-show, or if the previously scheduled lesson was already a makeup lesson. (A second makeup lesson in a row is not worthwhile without seeing the student to gauge progress.)
Should a student not arrive within the first 15 minutes of the lesson, it will be considered a no-show. For an online lesson, the call will be ended at the 15 minute mark should the student not arrive. There are no refunds, reschedules, or make-up classes provided for no shows; the missed lesson must be paid in full.
Lessons may be rescheduled rather than cancelled, as schedules allow, but must occur in the 7 days before or after the originally scheduled lesson. In order to attempt to reschedule a lesson, at least 24 hours notice is required. That being said, more notice is highly recommended as it will improve the likelihood of finding a suitable time slot. There is no guarantee that a lesson can be rescheduled. In the event that a lesson cannot be rescheduled, it will be considered cancelled. Once a lesson has been rescheduled, it cannot be cancelled or rescheduled again without charge.
During the summer term, there is no limit on free cancelled lessons, although 24hrs notice is still required in order to avoid a charge for the missed lesson. There will be no make-up lessons during the summer season.
Should you wish to discontinue lessons, two weeks notice is required. Unattended lessons in the two weeks after discontinuing will be considered cancellations and will still be billed.
If I am unavailable to teach during our usual lesson time, I will notify you at least 48 hours ahead of time and find a suitable substitute teacher. Should a substitute teacher not be found, the lesson will be rescheduled or cancelled at no charge (the lesson will be credited or reimbursed). Should I need to cancel at the last minute, you will have the option to be reimbursed for the missed class or to receive one lesson credit.
In the event I fall ill, in-person lessons may be moved online to prevent the spread of sickness. Should a student not wish to have an online lesson instead of in-person, the lesson may be rescheduled; if that isn’t possible, a make-up class will be provided.
Invoicing and Payment
Invoicing may happen monthly or by semester. I accept payment via cash, e-transfer, or cheque. Late payments may incur a $20/month late fee per invoice.
Monthly invoices are sent via email on the 1st of each month for the upcoming month of lessons, with payment due on the last day of that month.
Fall/winter semester invoices cover all lessons between Sept 9th and December 20th. They will be sent on or near September 1st, and are due on September 30th (or 30 days after being sent). Winter/spring semester invoices cover all lessons between January 6th and May 30th. They will be sent on or near January 2nd, and are due on January 31st (or 30 days after being sent). Because the second semester is longer than the first, one may opt to pay half in January and half in March, but must notify me first.
Security
For security and liability purposes only, there are cameras inside and outside the studio that record while there is motion in the vicinity, which includes during lessons. These recordings are only accessible by me, and will not be used outside of security or liability purposes. Unless required for security or liability, recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days.
